That yearly scrub down that gives you a fresh start inside and out. Windows are thrown open, blankets are hung on the line and surfaces are scrubbed clean. Outside, the debris blown around the yard all winter and uncovered by the melting snow is picked up and put away or discarded. It is amazing what things you might find that had been hidden for the past 6 months. Along the same line, it is sad to see the garbage that lines our roadways and other public places. Last weekend, my husband and son went to a hunting spot on some forest road down by Cottonwood Lake. They filled a garbage can with aluminum cans and another half way with bottles. They hauled out the burned up, rusted, dented, shot up refrigerator and all the garbage left inside it and around it. Picking up after other people is frustrating. Weren't they taught to pick up after themselves as kids? Didn't they watch Woodsy Owl?
Give a Hoot. Don't Pollute. Praise God by taking care of his creation.
