Stewardship Mission Statement "The goal of our stewardship ministry is to help God's people grow in their relationship with Jesus through the use of time, talents and finances God has entrusted to them."

Most of us do our Christmas shopping carefully. We think about those whom we love and try to find things that will make them happy. Deep within us is the hope that the ones who receive the gifts will respond with affection towards us. This may be true of God as well.

In Isaiah 5:8-17, (v.12)"Ah, you...who do not regard the deeds of the Lord, or see the work of his hands." Isaiah condemns social injustice. He sees the peoples preoccupation with houses and property. He sees their fascination with feasting and partying, and observes that they do not sense the Lord's presence in all the gifts they are enjoying. Thus, instead of being able to respond to the love of God, which lies behind their gifts, they become slaves to things. They lose out to the wonderful assurance of knowing that they are held in the embrace of God's love.

Let this season of preparation be filled with appreciation for God, who loves us and who provides daily gifts to fill our lives with happiness and joy.

December 20th Celebration Sunday will help the homeless through "GRACE HOUSE."
