HEBREWS 13:5

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you."

It is easy to become obsessed with acquiring more things. Newer car/pickup, bigger flat screen TV, the latest I-phone, the latest electronic fishing gadgets. We tend to think these things will make us happier, more content, make others envious!!! Such things easily become our gods, in which we put our hope and trust. We must repent...........

Although it's difficult to be content with what we have when newer and better things are paraded in front of us, these things will not bring contentment or the peace that passes all understanding.

Only the Lord gives true contentment. He gives all we need for his body and life. He promises to care for all our needs. He makes us whole, complete and content. In Him we can place our trust.

We hope by now you have gotten in the habit of using the "weekly giving envelopes."
