Earth Day is April 22. Do you have plans to celebrate the Earth? As one of the first things God created, we need to take care of the earth. For 40 years, Earth Day has been set aside as the day to think about the environment and participate in activities to make the world a better, cleaner place to live. As Christians, we are called to be caretakers of the earth and all of creation. So every day should be "earth day", every day we should try to make the world a nicer place to live. But if you can only afford to be a creation steward one day a year, April 22nd is as good a day as any. What can you do on just one day? Plant a tree. Plant a garden or pot a plant. Shop at the organic market. Purchase reusable shopping bags and use them. Clean the road side. hang a bird feeder. Leave the TV, computer, and radio off for the whole day. Plan a vegetarian menu. Take a walk and enjoy what God has given us. Every day should be Earth Day. Praise God by taking care of his creation.
