God Wants Us to Help Others

Come join us for Sunday School from 10:00- 11:00 am. We will be singing, use lessons from the very interactive Hands On Bible Curriculum from Group, making crafts, working on projects for our Prayer Partners and focusing on how we can Help others. All children/youth in the area are welcomed.

Prayer Partners

Your gift is to encourage others - Romans 12:8

The Mission of Prayer Partners is to enrich kids understanding of the power of prayer and fellowship.

We are matching the Sunday School kids up with adults who can share some life stories and lessons and to be there to encourage the kids to become comfortable and confident in their faith.

The kids will be working on different projects for their Prayer Partners that will promote communication throughout the year.

VBS 2009

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" 1 John 3:1 was the main theme for the week. Every day we had a daily truth that the lesson was built on. They were Accepted by Jesus, Protected by Jesus, Saved by Jesus, Forgiven by Jesus and Living for Jesus.

The kids learned wonderful new songs that they sang during the closing celebration and the following Sunday in church. There were many games to play, creative crafts, silly snacks and friendships were formed. We even got to meet Pastor Johns brother Dr. Forest R. Cool!

Confirmation

The Confirmation kids have been studying the book of Mark this year. Their last session discussed chapters 10-13, which touched on such things as loving your neighbors, why it might be hard for rich people to be disciples, and the end of times. Pastor John has been trying to make the bible relevant to our teenagers' lives.

The next confirmation class is February 7th, 2-5 pm at the parsonage. This is Super Bowl Sunday so bring some game day treats and have a super time.
